The tradition continues for the Utah Grizzlies as they are playing in their 30th season of professional hockey in the state of Utah. The Grizzlies have been a consistent winner as they have made the playoffs in 21 of their 29 seasons in the Salt Lake Valley. The Grizzlies played in the International Hockey League from 1995-2001 and the American Hockey League from 2001-2005. The Grizz are in their 20th season in the ECHL. The Grizzlies play their home games at the 10,000 seat Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.

The Grizzlies are owned and operated by the Elmore Sports Group which also owns several minor league baseball teams across the country, multiple sports travel and hospitality companies and also specializes in facility and event management.
